"Help take back our government, our freedoms and our rights as written in our Constitution ! I want to represent you with honesty, integrity and a smaller, more transparent government "
Vote Dan Foster for Delegate on Tuesday November 5th, 2013
_ Your Libertarian Candidate
My name is Dan Foster and I’m running for Delegate in the 78th district of Chesapeake in this November’s general elections.
I am not a lawyer, I’ve never run for a political office before, I have never been associated with any branch of our government, I am just a regular man who is sick and tired of the way our current government is being run. I no longer wish to just sit around and complain. I want to get involved and hopefully with your support, make a difference.
I have informed my campaign team that I refuse to run a campaign using any type of dirty politics. I don’t believe in it and I feel the people are sick of this nonsense. We’re all human, we all make mistakes and hopefully learn from them and grow as we get older.
Campaign donations will not be paid back with political favors. Donations, kick backs and favors are a huge part of the problem with politics and our government today. If you like what you are reading here today, and you would like to make a donation, just click the donate link at the top of this page, thank you!
Have you ever heard the term “government starts at the bottom” ? I recently learned that this is not only true, but super important. These smaller elections are instrumental in shaping the bigger part of our government as you go higher and higher on the political and governmental ladder.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a Republican or a Democrat, if you look at the past 50 or 60 years of our government, both parties have consistently voted to raise taxes, year, after year, after year. You just have to ask yourself, “how’s that workin’ out for ya?” “Are your taxes going down?” “Is your life getting better?” “Is our countries national deficit going down?” If you keep doing the same thing over and over again, you’re going to get the same results.
Politicians will always tell you what you want to hear to get your vote. “Read my lips, no new taxes!” They do this until they’re in office, then its time to pay back the big contributors to their parties election campaign …. then they often pay it back with the taxpayers money. Am I getting through to you yet?
In closing, if you are not registered to vote, please register and get out to the polls on November 5th so we all can help make a difference. If you, like so many people I’ve talked to, are truly sick of voting for the lesser of two evils, don’t! Remember, a vote for someone you truly believe in, is never a wasted vote.
If you’re a republican or a democrat, you don’t have to tell your friends you voted for me, I understand. But if you give me your support, you have my word that I will do my best to help whoever needs help as much as I can.
I’ll even set up a phone line in my home office (at my own expense) where residents can call in regarding any problems or issues you may have. If I’m in the office, I’ll be happy to take the call and discuss your issues. If I’m not there I’ll have a voice mail set up so you can leave a message and I’ll get back with you
asap. If I get too many calls to handle, I’ll have my secretary help out. You can actually start voicing your gripes right now by posting them on my blog, just click the blog link above, I encourage it!
Now it’s your chance to do something, let’s focus our attention on the important issues at hand.
I'm not a politician, maybe that's what we need!

_What is a Libertarian?
_The Libertarian philosophy is simple. Libertarians are people who support liberty. We believe in your right to choose, and to live your life as long as you do not harm others.
Sometimes Republicans sound libertarian when they talk about cutting taxes and spending. Sometimes Democrats sound libertarian when they talk about civil liberties like free speech. Libertarians support freedom on every issue.
Although Republicans and Democrats often talk about freedom, they usually violate our freedoms and give us more rules and taxation instead.
I will support liberty on every issue, but below are three of my priorities:
- Pro 2nd amendment
- Cut taxes and spending
_Why vote Libertarian?
__Win or lose, every vote for a Libertarian sends a clear message for liberty. Don't waste your vote encouraging the Republicans and Democrats who keep making our lives worse. Don't let them scare you into voting for more government. Vote Libertarian.
We are America's third-largest political party. Many Libertarians serve in elected office throughout the U.S. We have affiliates in all 50 states. We run hundreds of candidates for all political offices from President down to U.S. Congress and city councils.
I hope you will help me change Virginia for the better. I hope you will vote for me, Dan Foster, for Delegate.
